Congratulations to Year 7 students of French for their excellent home-learning projects last week. They have been studying the topic Chez Moi (At Home) over the past few weeks and were set a home-learning project on Ma Maison (My House) over the Bank Holiday weekend. Within hours of the project being set, Faith Stephenson had completed a superb PowerPoint presentation and emailed it to her teacher, Mrs Perkins. On their return to school on Tuesday, 3rd May completed projects began arriving in school.
Staff at school were impressed with the outstanding effort that had been applied to these projects and with the finished products. Miss Tweddle, Mr Logan and Mrs Hughes came to see these students proudly display their work which ranged from PowerPoint presentations, posters and ‘surprise boxes’ to magnificent models of houses. Leah Stephenson, Kaira Weston, Lucy Wilson, Lily Wright and Chloe Goldwater said that they had spent days on their projects. Leah said, “I enjoyed the fact that I could work together with Kaira on our project. I put lots of extra effort in because of this. We enjoyed building our house and labelling the rooms and furniture in French”. Lucy used this opportunity to not only display her attention to detail and artistic skills in her model of a house, but also to research new French vocabulary that had not been covered in class. Budding artists Chloe and Lily showed their talents in their huge A1 size poster of a house with correctly labelled drawings of rooms and furniture.
