On Friday 30 June, Workington Academy remembered the life and work of Jo Cox by holding our own Great Get Together. We had a huge picnic and spent time in each other’s company. House Leaders were very impressed with the high levels of friendship and benevolence displayed by all students and staff; even the rain and change of venue didn’t dampen spirits!
The addition of Mrs Kearton’s sweet shop and the visit by Luchini’s of Keswick was incredible. What better way to spend lunchtime than with good company, delicious sweets and an ice cream van?
