Congratulations to Year 10 student Eleanor, who has used her experience as a Student Librarian and a paired reader to secure herself a position as a volunteer on Cumbria Libraries Summer Reading Challenge, Animal Agents.
Eleanor has read with Amy, her reading partner in year 7, on Tuesdays and Thursdays during tutor time since the start of April. Eleanor’s love of books and enthusiasm for reading makes her a perfect reading champion and Amy is very grateful for her support and encouragement.
When Eleanor was younger she took part in the reading challenges held by Cumbria Libraries in the summer holidays herself, so it is fantastic that she has been asked to help to enthuse younger children with a love of reading.
