On Friday 29th September, Workington Academy joined in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. Students and staff baked and donated cakes, which were enjoyed by all. There was also a raffle and games to play.
We welcomed pupils from Ashfield Junior School to our event, and I’m sure they’d agree that they enjoyed their time sampling some delicious baked goods.
This year was our most successful cake sale to date. We sold out of everything and made an impressive £451.03 during the twenty-five minute sale!
Gratitude must be given to the entire student House Team for their hard-work and fabulous contributions to a wonderful morning. Thank you to all who supported this event. We will be continuing our fund raising efforts over this academic year. Look out for some exciting developments.
