Last week, students from Workington Academy took part in a variety of sporting challenges in support of Sport Relief 2018.
Inspired by the gruelling challenges undertaken for Sport Relief by celebrities such as Greg James, students donated money in order to wear non-uniform, participate in clubs, wear red PE kit, watch the Staff VS Sixth Form Football match and complete a mile around Curwen Park.
The Key Stage 3 Sport Relief Mile was highly competitive and the winners were Liam Holder, Charlotte Grimshaw, Coby Bell, Alexa Atkinson Dom Kelly and Jake Wight.
Currently, the students have raised just over £1100, with some money still to be collected and counted. The money will go to Sport Relief and towards a Workington Academy Defibrillator.
