During break-time on Friday, Emma Shervinton lead a group of her peers in the organisation of a charity cake sale. Emma is focusing on raising money to donate to the RVI, Newcastle, as well as raising awareness of Scoliosis; today’s sale has helped her tremendously with her fundraising goals. Emma and her peers planned the event, made up sweet hampers for the raffle, organised posters and staffed the sale.
During the 15 minutes of trading, Emma and the team sold out of almost every cake and raised an incredible £200. We’re really impressed by Emma’s hard-work and commitment to a cause so close to her heart. She has epitomised the core values of the academy: respect, responsibility and resilience. Thank you to everyone who supported this event.
Well done, Emma!
Congratulations to the winners of the two sweet hampers: Myles (Year 13) and Jacob (Year 8).
