Congratulations to this week’s Headteacher Learner of the Week award winners, Year 7 students Amy Shervinton and Andrew Williams.
Both students were awarded outstanding Responsibility for Learning grades in all of their subject areas on their last progress check. Andrew has been making great progress this year and as a result, has been moved up to higher sets in several subjects. He also participated in the Enterprise competition, The Tenner Challenge, where he raised money through a raffle
As well as excelling in the classroom, Amy takes an active part in school life, representing the school in a variety of sports teams and helped raise money for Scoliosis charities.
As well as a photo opportunity with Mr Bird, Learner of the Week winners get a certificate and a gold star pin badge which they can wear on their blazers for the rest of their time at the Academy.
