Congratulations to this week’s Headteacher Learner of the Week award winners, Hannah White from Year 7 and Luke Featherstone-Palmer from Year 9.
Hannah is nominated for her work in Science, where she produced an outstanding piece of homework on the solar system. Additionally, she has over 100 reward points and no behaviour points for this academic year. She also has 100% attendance and has represented the school at netball and rugby.
Luke is nominated for his excellence in Reading. He is an Accelerated Reader triple-word millionaire, meaning he has read three million words since September, which is around 50 books. Luke has dominated the top of the Accelerated Reader Top Ten boards since arriving at the academy and is a fantastic reading role model.
As well as a photo opportunity with Mr Bird, Learner of the Week winners get a certificate and a gold star pin badge which they can wear on their blazers for the rest of their time at the Academy.
