Congratulations to this week’s winners Evie Little (Y9) and Amie Leslie (Y10).
Evie was nominated for her excellence in German where she achieved a score of 99% in her recent Y9 exam. She demonstrates the R’s (Respect, Responsibility and Resilience) at all times. She also achieved Outstanding Responsibility for Learning across 10 subjects in her last report.
Amie was nominated in both Art and Maths. In Art, she has maintained a very high standard across every piece of work she has done this year, demonstrating outstanding effort and ability. Amie is also excelling in Maths, where her natural talent is complemented by an excellent attitude in everything she does. She has a particular strength in Algebra, where she recently did some great work on equations of tangents to circles.
As well as a photo opportunity with Mr Bird, Learner of the Week winners get a certificate and a gold star pin badge which they can wear on their blazers for the rest of their time at the Academy.
