Congratulations to this week’s winners, Connor Johnston and Kai Turner from Year 8. Both students are nominated for their excellence in Geography where they have been studying Climate Change, Coasts and Geography of Sport. Connor is also a triple word millionaire on Accelerated Reader, meaning he has read three million words since September, which is more than 50 books. Kai is a keen musician and has played the piano and keyboard at school concerts. Both students have attended school every day this academic year.
As well as a photo opportunity with Mr Bird, Learner of the Week winners get a certificate and a gold star pin badge which they can wear on their blazers for the rest of their time at the Academy.
