Important information for Year 11 students

Recent information from Ofqual, who regulate the award of qualifications, has stated that students will not be required to submit any further work to be awarded a grade for their GCSE courses.

Therefore, we will not be setting GCSE work for Year 11 students from 20 April 2020, unless the teaching of the course content has not been completed. For those studying vocational qualifications including BTECs there will be no examinations this summer in line with other qualifications such as GCSEs. We are awaiting confirmation on how internal assessments will be used, please continue working on these as required by your teacher.

Ofqual have indicated that students will also have the opportunity to sit exams at the earliest reasonable opportunity in the new academic year. To help students who might wish to sit these exams we have prepared a page linking to past papers and mark schemes so that students can prepare fully for their exams. If students require additional support, they should contact their subject teacher through FireFly in the first instance.
