Dear Parents & Carers
Please be advised that we have had a further confirmed case of Covid-19 in year 11. The student who has tested positive has not been in school since Wednesday 18 November. The positive result was received yesterday afternoon.
Please be assured that following notification of the test result we have contacted all of the students and staff who have been a close contact of this student and asked them to self-isolate. If you have not been contacted by us, or by Track and Trace directly, then your child is asked to attend school as normal.
I have written to you immediately, as I am aware that parents will be anxious about this development. This situation has happened in a number of schools across Cumbria, and as in other schools, we will take further direction from Public Health England. We will keep you updated as and when we receive further information.
