Dear Parent/Carer
Year 11 students have now completed their first set of trial examinations and have generally worked very hard under difficult circumstances. As a follow- up to this, and as promised at the beginning of the academic year, the ‘period 6’ after school sessions will begin as of Monday 7 December. These will provide opportunities to focus on areas for improvement that have arisen from the examinations and give a little extra time to filling any gaps in learning.
Sessions for the end of the autumn term and until February half term will focus on the core subjects, English, Maths and Science. After this time sessions will focus on option subjects on different evening during the school week.
- Monday 3.00pm-4.00pm – Science (students will be targeted for this subject and will be informed as to when they are required. We will also text parents to make you aware)
- Wednesday 3.00pm-4.00pm – English (all students)
- Thursday 3.00pm-4.00pm – Maths (all students)
Please support your children in attending these additional sessions. If you have any queries, do not hesitate to contact myself, Mr Sewell or Miss McTaggart.
Yours sincerely
Mrs R O’Hagan
Deputy Headteacher
