Dear Parent/Carer,
All Year 10 students will be sitting formal examinations after the half term break. This will be the first time that the students have sat examinations for two years and therefore it is really important that they are fully prepared and have completed the necessary revision in order to succeed.
The examination period begins on Monday 7 June with some of the practical subjects and the written examinations run from Monday 14 June to Friday 25 June. Attendance during this period is vital as the results of these examinations will show us what the students can do well and what they need to focus on, in order to be successful in Year 11.
Students will only be examined on what they have learned in Year 10 and they are currently being supported with revision strategies during tutor time each day. Please help your child to follow their revision timetable over the next few weeks.
We will be arranging a face to face progress evening to discuss the results of these examinations before the end of the summer term and we look forwards to seeing you then.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me or with the year group team if you have any queries in relation to the forthcoming examinations.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs R O’Hagan
Deputy Headteacher
