This week, teams of Year 7, 8 and 9 students put their inventiveness, creativity and teamwork to the test for the Cumbria Education Trust ‘Innovate Challenge’. Whereby they have challenged Key Stage 1, 2 and 3 pupils to show outstanding teamwork to create a world changing idea – focused around helping the environment. Their task is to Generate, Design, Advertise and Present their world changing idea to a panel of judges.
This week, students have generated, designed and made a prototype of their idea and next week they will pitch this to our School Judges – Mr Bird, Mr Bedford and Mrs O’Hagan.
The Competition will culminate in a prestigious CET Finals Event to be held at The Whitehaven Academy’s new building on Thursday 24 March, where the team judged to be the ‘school winner’ will go on to pitch their idea to members of the CET Leadership Team and External Judging Panel.
Well done to all involved!
We will update you next week with our overall Workington Academy School Winner!
