A groundbreaking day for our Year 8 and 9 computing girls! Led by Miss Dandy and Miss Preston, 32 of our bright young minds joined over 550 girls from across Cumbria at the Energus for an inspirational CyberFirst MEGA Event.
The goal? To ignite a passion for STEM among girls by showcasing the exciting opportunities in technology and cyber roles. And what a success it was! Our students dove into interactive sessions with leading experts from IBM, KPMG, Cumbria Police, and BEC, gaining invaluable insights into the world of cyber security and technology.
It was a day filled with inspiration, learning, and empowerment. Watching our students engage with and learn from those at the pinnacle of the tech industry was truly amazing. A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this event a memorable experience for our future innovators!
