Dear parents and carers
We are thrilled to announce that, starting in September, we will be partnering with a new catering supplier, Aspens, to provide healthy, delicious and varied meal options for our students.
About Aspens
Following a detailed tender process, Aspens were chosen to be our catering partner. They are committed to providing delicious home-cooked food each day and they cater to individual dietary requirements.
Aspens states, “We want everyone who eats with us to look forward to their mealtimes, love what they have to eat and then have the energy for everything else that the day has to offer. We don’t just provide food, we play our part to educate children and raise awareness about nutrition, food and where it comes from so that each person can make informed and mindful choices”.
Why we are changing supplier
Our contract with our current supplier ends at the end of this academic year, so we decided to put the contract out to a tendering process. Aspens is a leading contract catering company, that specialises in school food. Their creative menu and expertise in school catering were key factors in our decision to switch catering suppliers across all CET schools.
What to expect
There will be new menus introduced in the Autumn Term. You can find more information, plus a sample menu, attached. Please note that the catering staff will not be changing, so you will still see the same friendly faces serving your children.
We understand that adjusting to a new caterer is a significant change, and we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition. To support this process, please can we ask that any overdrawn balances on your child’s school meal account, held in ParentPay, are settled by the end of term, 19 July 2024.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the office.
Thank you for your continued support as we strive to provide the best for your children.
