In 2022, Workington Academy has again welcomed a record number of students into Year 7 and following the incredibly positive feedback received from parents, carers and students in relation to our personalised approach taken to primary-secondary school transition last year – we are again offering pupils and families the opportunity to attend individualised after school tours, giving you the opportunity to come and look around our vibrant and state of the art learning environment, to find out more about our broad and balanced curriculum and exciting extra-curricular opportunities that we offer all students and to meet members of our Senior Leadership Team and Team Year 7 staff.

Tours will be available from Monday 26 September and for further information on how to book a tour of the academy – please visit: Click Here

Prior to you visiting the academy, we will be hosting a Virtual Open Evening on Wednesday 21 September at 6.30pm, which can be accessed via our website and social media sites.

Our Virtual Open Evening is designed to provide you with an insight into our Academy- judged to be ‘Good’ by Ofsted in all areas in March 2022. Tune in to find out more about our state-of-the-art learning environment, extensive facilities, broad and balanced curriculum, and exciting extra-curricular opportunities for all students, as well as learning about our educational philosophy, exciting learning opportunities and hearing from some of our dedicated team of staff and fantastic students.
