Year 6-7 Information Evening:

Join us on Wednesday 12 June 2024 for an informative evening designed specifically for students transitioning from Year 6 to 7. You and your parents will receive valuable insights into the curriculum, extracurricular activities, and what to expect in your first year at Workington Academy. It’s also a great chance to address any queries or concerns you may have.

Meet the Tutor Day:

Scheduled for Friday 28 June 2024, this is a special day for you to meet your tutor in a more personal setting. It’s a fantastic opportunity to ask questions, learn about your daily schedule, and discuss any support you might need as you start your journey with us.

Team Year 7 Familiarisation Day:

On Thursday 4th July 2024, get ready for a day filled with engaging activities, school tours, and a chance to get to know your teachers and fellow students. This day is all about making you feel welcome and excited about starting at Workington Academy.

First Day of School:

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, 4 September 2024, the official start of the academic year. We can’t wait to welcome you and see you start your journey of learning and discovery.

An opportunity to meet with your new Form Tutor, Key Year 7 staff and SENCO (where applicable).

Thursday 4 July 2024

All students joining Year 7 at Workington Academy in September 2024 are to attend Workington Academy and spend the day in their new Form Group completing a range of Team Building Activities.

🎒 Summer School

Summer School:

Dive into the Workington Academy experience with our Summer School program! Running from Monday 22 July to Friday 2 August 2024, this program is a perfect blend of academic lessons, creative workshops, and sports activities. It’s a great way to make new friends, meet some of our teachers, and adjust to your new school environment before the term begins.

Please note that bookings for Summer School will not open until Monday 17 June. Further information about how to book will be shared in due course.
