The Year 7 Spring Term Rewards Assembly took place on Thursday 19 April and was a fantastic occasion for all involved. The event celebrated the successes and achievements of individual students, groups and teams that had taken place throughout the Spring Term, along with showcasing talents and examples of outstanding work from an array of subject areas and disciplines.
The event was organised and lead by Miss N Tweddle, Director of Learning – Year 7 and began with a singing performance of Ed Sheeran’s Supermarket Flowers from Dylan Bragg (7T), before Macey Hewer (7R), Demi Dodgson (7W), Ellie Cripps (7T) and Kacey Deans (7T) shared a rendition of Rianna’s ‘Stay’ with the assembly.
A range of successes and awards were given out within the Rewards Assembly for achievements recognised in lessons, in the world of sport and for contributions to the wider contribution to the Academy.
Both individual awards and team and form group rewards were celebrated for Attendance and Vivo Rewards, as well as the highly anticipated Star of the Form Awards being presented by Form Tutors. The celebration event culminated in the awarding of the Spring Term Outstanding Boy and Girl Awards being presented to Charlotte Grimshaw (7G) and Kenzie White (7N), before Dylan Bragg, Ashton Briscoe and Fin Stephenson (7T) closed the assembly with a rendition of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Castle on the Hill’.
All Students will receive individual subject achievement awards and attendance certificates in their next Registration session.
