Pre-Loved Uniform

At Workington Academy we believe that every student should feel proud to wear their uniform, and that the cost of school clothing should never be a barrier to that. Our pre-loved uniform scheme offers good quality, clean second-hand uniform items free of charge to any family who needs them.

How It Works

Our stock of pre-loved uniform is held in school and is available to all families throughout the year. Items are donated by current and former students as they outgrow them, laundered, checked for quality, and made available to anyone who needs them, no questions asked.

To request items, simply contact the school office or your child’s year group team and a member of our staff will arrange for you or your child to collect in a way that suits you. All enquiries are handled with complete discretion.

What We Have in Stock

Our stock changes regularly depending on donations, but we typically hold a range of:

  • Blazers
  • Shirts
  • Trousers and skirts
  • Ties
  • PE kit

Stock levels and available sizes vary, so we recommend getting in touch if you are looking for something specific. We will always do our best to help.

Donating to the Scheme

If your child has outgrown their uniform and it is still in good condition, we would be very grateful for your donation. Items can be dropped off at the school office at any time during the school day. Please ensure items are clean before donating.

Every donation directly helps another family in our community, and we are grateful to everyone who has contributed to making this scheme possible.
