Dana Hawkins achieved two Distinction* and a Distinction and is planning to study psychology at the University of Cumbria.

Headteacher Des Bird said “This group of students have worked exceptionally hard and have been rewarded with some excellent results in both academic and vocational courses. These successes are a testament to the hard work of the students and teaching staff at Workington Academy. This year has seen a record percentage of students from Workington Academy applying to prestigious Russell Group universities, including Leeds, Sheffield and Edinburgh as well as a significant number securing highly sought-after apprenticeships. I would like to congratulate our students on their well-deserved successes”
