Today was the official grand opening of Workington Academy’s brand-new AstroTurf pitch.
Joining us to officially open this amazing new sports facility was former student of Stainburn School, Rio Hardy.
Rio currently plays professional football in the FA Women’s Championship for Durham Women FC.
A team of Year 7 and 8 girls took part in training and a question and answer session.
