Dear Parents and Carers,
Planned Emergency Lockdown Drill – Friday 4th July
As part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding and ensuring the safety of all members of our school community, we will be carrying out a planned emergency lockdown drill on Friday 4th July during the school day.
This drill is a routine part of our emergency procedures and is designed to ensure that all staff and students know exactly what to do in the unlikely event of a real lockdown situation. We will approach the drill with care and sensitivity. Prior to the event, students will be shown a short presentation in class to help them understand the purpose of the drill and their role in keeping themselves safe. Staff will be on hand to provide support and reassurance throughout.
To help keep everyone informed, details of when the drill begins and ends will be shared on our school website and official social media pages. Please note that during the drill itself, the school office will not be able to take telephone calls, as all staff will be involved in the exercise.
We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us maintain a secure environment. Our priority is always the well-being and safety of our students and staff, and regular drills such as this are an important part of that commitment.
Yours sincerely
Mark Bedford
