Dear Parents and Carers
Thank you for your support in getting so many students into school today, I know it was a challenging morning for many of you. Well over 90% of our students are now in school and I would be happy for any students at home, who can now make it in, to join us for the rest of the day. Only light rain is forecast from now on so there should hopefully be no more travel disruption.
I decided to keep the school open this morning as we are running trial exams for Year 11 and I did not want to negatively impact on their cycle of exam preparation, 95% of Year 11 sat this morning’s maths exam. I also did not want to burden parents and carers with last minute childcare arrangements, I know how difficult this can be. All staff had made it into school by around 10.30am and outside of period 1 we have delivered a full teaching day for all students.
