Train to Teach with Cumbria Education Trust

Ready to make a difference in the classroom?

Train to teach with Cumbria Education Trust (CET), in partnership with Ambition Institute, and begin your journey towards a rewarding career in education.

Our Initial Teacher Training programme offers expert-led, school-based training across Cumbria, giving you the experience, knowledge and support you need to start your teaching career with confidence.

Through the programme, you will:

  • Qualify as a primary or secondary teacher in just 11 months
  • Achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) alongside a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Gain valuable, hands-on classroom experience in schools
  • Learn from experienced teachers and education professionals
  • Develop the skills and confidence needed to make a real difference to young people

Through our school-centred approach, we want to bring even more ambitious and committed teachers into Cumbria Education Trust and provide the best possible start to a fulfilling career in education.
