Workington Academy students demonstrated Respect, Responsibility and Resilience at Lakes College last week at a Boccia tournament led by Active Zone staff with assistance from Lakes College Young Leaders.
Boccia is a target sport played indoors with soft leather balls. It is a sport of intriguing tactics, incredible skill and nail-biting tension.
All of the students were fantastic throughout the tournament. They worked well as a team showing respect for each other and players from other schools. The Year 7 team members, who had never played Boccia before, managed to secure third place.
Well done all!
