This week’s Headteacher Learner of the Week awards go to Year 8 students Rosina Pettit and Ellie Ritchie. Both students achieved outstanding Responsibility for Learning grades in all 12 subject areas in their latest school report. They also take an active part in school life outside of lessons, with both girls representing the school in the recent indoor athletics competition. Ellie is also a librarian, plays the Saxophone and has represented the school at football. Rosina is also involved in the library and particularly excels in her favourite subject, History. They both have 100% attendance for this academic year.
As well as a photo opportunity with Mr Bird, Learner of the Week winners get a certificate and a gold star pin badge which they can wear on their blazers for the rest of their time at the Academy.
