As we move into the final term for our Year 11 students, we are proud to be providing a comprehensive package of support to help every student feel confident, prepared, and ready to succeed in their GCSE examinations. We understand that this can be a demanding time for both students and families. Our aim is to ensure that every student feels supported both academically and pastorally throughout the exam period.
Support in place includes:
Weekend Tutoring (Targeted)
Targeted weekend revision and tutoring sessions are available for selected students. Invitations are sent directly, and attendance is strongly encouraged.
Mid-week Revision Sessions
Additional revision sessions are running across a range of subjects for students who would benefit from extra support.
English and Maths Intervention (Tuesday and Friday Mornings)
All students take part in focused English and Maths sessions during tutor time, with History now also included to further strengthen core knowledge.
100 Days Revision Programme
Students are following a structured revision programme to help them stay organised and consistent with their preparation.

English and Maths in Vocational Lessons
Where coursework is complete, vocational lesson time is being used to reinforce key English and Maths skills.
Revision Skills in Tutor Time
Students are being taught effective revision techniques, helping them understand how to revise, not just what to revise.
Additional Intervention Opportunities
Extra support is available during certain lessons, including PE and Ethics, allowing students to access help without disrupting their timetable.
Year 11 Squads
Students are supported through dedicated squads, providing an extra layer of academic and pastoral guidance during this important period.
We kindly ask for your continued support at home by encouraging regular attendance, strong organisation, and positive revision habits. Working together, we are confident that every student can approach their exams with confidence, resilience, and the determination to succeed. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Yours faithfully,
Mr Holliday and Year 11 Year Group Team
