Congratulations to the Year 9 technology team who attended the annual Make It in Manufacturing event at Energus, Workington. The team had to set up their own manufacturing business and compete against other local schools, to create a new product with an eco-twist.
Judges commended our pupils on their creativity, innovation and managerial qualities and awarded one of our pupils, Alex Nicholson, the outstanding individual award for demonstrating his leadership skills within the team.
The pupils found the day immensely rewarding and it helped focus their career choices within the manufacturing industry. Well done to Jodie Morley, Ryan Hucknall, Alex Nicholson, Alyx McCarron, Josie Banks, Holly Hunter, Ethan Winter and Ebony McGee for their enthusiastic participation and innovative design choices.
