This week a group of victorious Year 10 mathematicians celebrated with a McDonalds for their excellent performance in the Cumbria final of this year’s AMSP Maths Feast.
They were crowned, not only as overall winners, but winners of 3 out of the 4 rounds with near perfect scores. The students displayed great mathematical knowledge, problem solving skills and teamwork to achieve the number 1 spot in a field of 14 teams made up of the strongest mathematicians across the county.
Mr Maxwell was extremely impressed with not only their magnificent performance but also the way the students represented the school, encouraging one another to succeed and the enthusiasm on show.
