I am writing to update you on arrangements for awarding grades to sixth form students this summer.
We are delighted to welcome back all students on Monday 8 March.
We would like to update students in light of this afternoon’s OFQUAL announcement that students will receive Centre Assessed Grades, rather than those previously published.
Workington Academy students and staff are delighted with an excellent set of A-Level results.
A level results day is on Thursday 13 August and results will be available from 8.00am to 11.00am in the Sports Hall.
As communicated with you last week, Year 12 face-to-face learning sessions will commence in the week beginning 15 June 2020.
Students in Year 11 and Year 13 studying vocational qualifications, including BTEC and Cambridge Nationals should no longer continue to work on internal assessments for their course(s).
Recent information from Ofqual has stated that students will not be required to submit any further work in order to be awarded a grade for A level courses.
Firstly, all credit to you for your maturity and positive attitude on receiving the news regarding the school closure and the cancellation of the summer exams.
