Ofqual’s Chief Regulator, Dr Jo Saxton, along with Matt Hood OBE, CEO at Oak National Academy, and Joanne Lawson, Senior Manager at Ofqual, visited Workington Academy before Easter to discuss qualifications and assessments with staff and students.
Dr Saxton said, “Workington’s students shared useful insights of their experience sitting GCSEs last summer, as well as their perceptions about their upcoming exams and assessments in 2023. I wish them well. It was fascinating, also, to discuss with leaders their plans for curriculum and qualification choices to best meet the needs of the community they are serving.”
