As another show of support for this year’s Remembrance Day we invited students across all year groups to decorate a pebble linked to the theme of Remembrance, to form part of our Remembrance Day ‘Poppy Pebble Display’.

We are inviting all students in all year groups across Workington Academy to help us to show support for this year’s Remembrance Day by joining in our Poppies in your Window Design Competition and Poppy Pebble Parade.
We have just been notified today by North Lakes Foodbank that they are able to provide a lunch pack for all FSM families this week.
Our Year 7 students were set the challenge this week of creating spooktacular pumpkin carvings in advance of Halloween.
As we near the end of what has been an unusual half term, I would like to thank students, parents, carers and the whole community for the way in which they have tackled the challenges of this last few months in dealing with Coronavirus and the many issues it creates.
After our first month back I thought it would be a good opportunity to remind you of our attendance expectations for all students, as well as our policies and procedures in relation to student absence.
