Recently, our Year 10 students on the Entry Level Humanities and Life Skills pathway enjoyed a visit to The Beacon in Whitehaven as part of their work experience programme.
The visit linked to their learning about local history and the railways, giving students the opportunity to explore historical exhibits, discover artefacts and gain a real insight into how people lived and worked in the past.
Students were engaged throughout, making excellent links to their classroom learning and representing Workington Academy brilliantly with their enthusiasm, curiosity and positive behaviour.
Well done, Year 10!
