Following Thursday’s announcement regarding the closure of all schools, we would like to provide additional information for students working at home and in relation to their general well-being.

All students will be supported remotely through our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) called Firefly.

Now that we know that schools will close from Monday for all children, we are planning for the necessary arrangements for priority childcare. We are exploring the possibility of opening for priority childcare in the short term.
Following the Government’s announcement this evening, 18 March, regarding school closures. CET will post further information, advice and guidance tomorrow to all staff and parents.
New guidance for households with symptoms
There have been further updates from the Prime Minister’s briefing on Monday, 16 March. The additional guidance provided has indicated that anyone in the same household as someone who has a persistent cough or fever will also have to isolate for 14 days.

Following the government COBRA meeting yesterday, England has now moved to the ‘delay’ phase. This means advice to schools and families has now changed.
