In order to mark the progress and achievements of Year 11, both this year and throughout their time at Workington Academy, I would like to invite you to an evening of celebration on Wednesday June 27.
We are running two activity days on Tuesday 17 July and Wednesday 18 July.
As you are aware, the Academy was inspected by Ofsted on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.
We have just told your child's school that we will inspect it on 22 May 2018. The lead inspector will be Emma Gregory, HMI.
I am delighted to have recently joined Workington Academy as Headteacher and would like the opportunity to meet with parents of our students.
We have come to the end of a long, busy and very productive term and the whole school community is looking forward to a well-earned rest. We hope that Easter brings some better weather and enables us to refresh, ready for the summer term.
Please see below the timetable for additional revision and intervention sessions that the school is running over the Easter break.
This is my final letter to you as Interim Headteacher and I would like to say a heartfelt thank you for your continued support for our school.
