We are delighted that this year we are able to offer an additional support day for all Year 11 students focusing on revision and exam preparation.
Find enclosed a copy of the Academy’s uniform information for the next academic year. There are a few minor changes which I would like to draw your attention to
It is nearing the end of my first term as Headteacher of the Academy, and I must say a huge thank you to the whole school community who have made me incredibly welcome.
Next week will be incredibly busy and there are many opportunities for our students that will enrich their school experience and benefit both our school and local community.
As you will know, in May, Workington Academy was inspected by Ofsted. This was our first inspection since the Academy was formed. The report contains some promising feedback and I am writing to share the main findings with you.
We have accepted an invitation to be involved in an exciting community event on 29 June 2018 called ‘The Wheelie Bin Challenge’.
In order to mark the progress and achievements of Year 11, both this year and throughout their time at Workington Academy, I would like to invite you to an evening of celebration on Wednesday June 27.
We are running two activity days on Tuesday 17 July and Wednesday 18 July.
As you are aware, the Academy was inspected by Ofsted on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.
