I published a video on Monday outlining that we would be welcoming students back to face-to-face education in the week beginning the 8th March. Governmental guidance has changed on this over the course of this week. However, we are now in a position to confirm how we will approach the return to school in more detail.
I felt it was important to write after the release of the OFQUAL consultation outcome on how grades will be awarded to students in year 11 and year 13 in the summer.

Mr Bird is very excited about welcoming all of our students back into the Academy on the week beginning 8th March.
During half term, Mr Bird and the Year 8 team were thrilled to receive a message from Mr Murray, a coach at Workington Boys and Girls Club.
Mr Bird has been talking to BBC Radio Cumbria about the recent school closure.
After half term we’d like to meet with a selection of parents to discuss SchoolCloud, Online provision and the Wider Reopening.
On Wednesday 10 February, we are running a ‘Pause, Rest and Reset’ Afternoon across our academy, which allows students to have some time away from their on-screen remote learning.
